In 1999 Taco Bell introduced one of their most popular mascots in commercials that would soon become a memory of pop culture. Gidget the dog made her debut in her first Taco Bell commercial as a promotion to advertise Taco Bell's new menu and soon became a huge successful star for Taco Bell soon. Among the famous commercials with Gidget include the famous Taco Bell Gorditas commercial and many others. Providing Gidget's voice was none other than Carlos Alazraqui who also plays Skylar in Disney's Elena Of Avalor who was quite good in the role of Gidget. Sadly Gidget is no longer alive today but she remains a favorite to Taco Bell fans

Hi, Bestie! What a neat piece of trivia! I did not know Carlos did the voice of the Taco Bell dog! I also did not know the dog was a girl! Thanks for the trivia. I wish they would bring the dog back.

The Pepsi Company, such as KFC and Pizza Hut. One memorable commercial featured
Gidget along with Colonel Sanders and a female Pizza Hut employee searching a
barren landscape for The Force in a commercial tie-in with the then recently released
Star Wars Episode I:The Phantom Menace.
