Two things
In Beaver’s Football Banquet Ronald keeps saying “I wish it was over.” Terry starts to talk then says what’s the matter with you kid? Wouldn’t he know Ronald if he was on the team? Why call him kid. Wonder if Ronald went casual. In the beginning of the episode Wally has walked MaryEllen home and has her books, what happened to Julie? but at the end he had a date with Lori-Ann from the library in Un-Togetherness. He should make up his mind. |

Terry was a VIP, BMOC. He didn't call anyone by name til Beaver caught his touchdown pass.
By the way, do Grammar/Elementary Schools give out letters? I wondered about that comment. |

They might give out letters in Middle school now (probably everyone who plays gets a letter to help self-esteem) but never back then. Did Beaver get a letter and a trophy?

Supposedly the team was getting their letters, although we never saw Beaver wearing it (maybe Ward thought the sweater was too expensive).
Wasn't Beaver displaying the trophy with Mule Saunders, at one of his beauty parlors? (ha, ha) Yup, everybody gets a letter today, but we didn't keep score. We don't want anyone to feel bad. |

How did Ward get Beaver’s tie and jacket down to the car?
He told Beaver to go down and get his sweater and Beaver said it was in the living room. Next thing we see Ward coming through the front door indicating he got car out. So did Ward lower the jacket down on a rope out the window or just throw it out the window then run down and put in in the trunk? The world may never know! |

Well, one thing we do know is that lowering and raising items on a rope is popular at the Cleaver house.

Maybe the 8th Graders only got letters and whatever awards the earned while High Schoolers got letter jackets or sweaters with their letters. How much did letterjackets and seawters the price seemed a little when it was mentioned? (I think it was in the show where Wally was gave his sweater to a girl unless it was a different show)

ISTR they mentioned the price of Richard's jacket, in the episode where Richard lost his (one of the rope episodes). Strikes me it was around $22, which is a lot for the time.
In the episode where Wally gives Frances his sweater (so she won't get "soakee"), I can't remember if they mentioned the price; I do remember maybe Ward saying it was expensive. Welcome to the forums, BTW! |
