Default Lisa's journal from today (6/10/02)

When I read this I couldn't stop laughing.

Quote:
We spent the remainder of the evening at a good, old-fashioned, Southern, little league night game. For those of you who have experienced one, you know what I’m talking about. Although it is 9 o’clock at night, it is still in the nineties. The little kids are giggling on the playground, the teenagers are hanging out at the snack bar, the parents are talking about the umpire in the grandstands and the kids on the field are more interested in chit-chatting than they are fielding the ball. You have to eat sunflower seeds, pixie stix, and sno cones. You must drink Dr. Pepper and chew Double Bubble. Spitting Skoal is optional.
She described it TO A "T" I was laughing SO hard. LOL

I love being able to relate to Lisa on a "Southern" level

I dont spit skoal either. I have been to a few southern games, I chewed bubble gum, drank Dr Pepper, and had a snow cone, and
hot dogs at a few. Im not really into sports, I am into ropping and horses, My Boyfriend is in some compitions(sp?) this summer, And my other friend is like a year older then I am and she beat out 40 other boys and came in 2nd place in a ropping compition the other
day.

Sorry I went a bit off-topic

'Cause it can fall as hard as it wants to
Gingerly drip down a lover’s face
Cry for hours and weeks on end
And never feel a bit out of place
And it can feed a field, put out a fire
And never feel the pain
I wish I were the rain
I wish I were the rain
I wish I were the rain
Oh Yeah, I wish I were the rain

I don`t live in the South, I live in boring PA. I always go to see my lil cousin play. Its funny, cuz those little kids don`t even pay attention, and they end up losing. Me and my friend, Melissa(we go to every game together) usually end up getting bored by the 3rd inning, so we end up going for a walk.
