I'd like to find the complete series of Designing Women at a reasonable price. The cheapest on eBay for a set that was viewed once is $99.00. New and sealed sets are going for $179.00 and higher

My hatred for Jeff Bezos automatically negates my buying anything from Amazon.

$99 is about ~$14 a season though, so that's not necessarily a bad deal at all. I would go for that one, just be wary of bootlegs out there on eBay.

That is a decent price, I'm thinking about getting it.

Early Edition. It's $50 on Amazon which isn't bad, but most shows from the 90's are cheaper than that.

Oh yes-- that out-of-print VEI all-in-one of Hunter (1984-91 NBC police/detective series w/Fred Dryer and Stepfanie Kramer)!

I broke down this month and bought “Step by Step” S4. I’m hoping I’ll be able to buy at least one WB Shop title a month so I don’t get too behind on them. At least once S9 of “Alice” & S7&8 of “Perfect Strangers” comes out, those shows will be completed. Then, I’ll just have “Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper” & “Step by Step” to focus on.

I wait for almost all of the TV dvd sets that I buy for them to go on sale. I imagine my collection is at least 30% bigger for spending less. There is only so much money to go around for this sort of thing. I have gotten so that I rarely pay more than 20.00 for season sets at the most. Most of the time they are less than 20.00 if you are patient and watch for sales.

One Day at a Time. There's absolutely no logical reason but pure greed for this 40 year old sitcom to be priced at $100 bucks for the DVD series. It should he half that and i'll wait as long as it takes until the price goes down to that....and it will. It always does after a few years after release. No way am I shelling out that much money for a series no matter how much I want it.

Ebay has them going for $45 but i'm pretty sure they're low quality bootleg copies from China so I won't touch those.

Also "Father Knows Best"....what this one does is price the first season really low...like $8 bucks brand new to get you hooked and want more and the rest of the seasons are all $25 bucks or more. Greedy, disgusting practice that I only have season 1 of this show and will not buy any more until the price drops.

I bought "The King of Queens", a popular 9 season sitcom last year brand new for under $30 bucks! I just don't get the huge price spectrum of these shows. What makes one series cost $30 and another cost $100? Both shows are 9 seasons and both were popular. And both played on CBS for that matter. I feel all complete series sets should cost no more than $50 total.

Anyway, I like this kind of thread because it really lets me vent this all out lol.
