I didn't see that due to not having cable in our part of the road. My hubby Mike says Jr is supposed to be on David Letterman this week on Wed, I think & his fiance Sarah Michelle Geller is supposed to be on there the nite before.
Speaking of Sarah Michelle Geller, I read somewhere recently where she went to the same high school as Freddie Sr, the Perfroming Arts school in NYC. She talked like kids were mean to her there & she hated it & wished she were dead at the time. I wonder if Freddie had the same experience there & if it might've contributed to his suicidal problems? I found it interesting Jr would get engaged to someone who went to his dad's old high school... |

Hmmmm..... Very interesting that she went to the same school as Sr. ..........WoW......... This morning on the radio I heard that Jr. is in NYC promoting Scooby Doo with his friend Matthew Lillard. They were going to a store here in Manhattan. They were going to be there at 4:00PM.... Hey right about now they should be there......

I wish I could've gone too. You know how much I love Jr. But, I have my kids I have to pick them up from school and stuff. Or else I would've ran to see him. Maybe God will grant me the priviledge of meeting Freddie's son one day. I probably would be bawling though.

I saw him last night on The David Letterman show and this morning on Live with Kelly and Regis. I almost cried when he spoke about his father on Letterman.
I thought for some dumb reason he maybe didn't want to speak about his pops. But, he did and I almost started bawling. My eyes were getting watery. May God bless him always..... I'll post what he said about his father later on today for those who didn't see the show.Plus......... I never knew he was a chef. He went to culinary school before he came to Los Angeles so, Sarah is a lucky girl. He cooks for her too. |

Does anyone know what he said about his dad? I am dying to know. Did they show any pics of him on there? I need all the details...
![]() I am sooo upset at Mike LOL! Cuz I told him to please since he flips back & forth between Dave Letterman & Jay Leno to please alert me when he was on so I could see it & still watch FRESH PRINCE OF BELAIR at 11:30 PM. I'd flip to it when he came on. But he is watching a ballgame then & neglected to tell me he wasn't watching Letterman so I'd know to watch it myself to see when Jr is on. I realize suddenly hey its 12:15 AM & Mike hasn't told me he was on yet. I turn on the tv & Jr was already off. I hate basketball LOL! So very much LOL! Now Mike says he wishes he could've seen it too. Just trying to appease me I bet. I'm still devastated over missing hearing him talk about Sr. Husbands LOL!

This is what he said about his father on Dave Letterman..........
Dave: Did you ever consider doing stand up comedy like your father? Was that ever a possibilty? Fred: No! I uh......... Apparantly you have to be very funny to do that. I'm a lot better if somone writes it down first. So no that was never an option. Alot of people ask me that........ The stand up comedian Paul Rodriguez, whos a very funny comic, he always use to say "Just do your dad's stuff - It will be great".. That didn't work out....... I never took a swing at it. Dave: You were an infant when you're father died. What were you 10 months? Fred: Yes 10 months Dave: At some point...... You must've started to assemble through other members of the family and friends an impression of what your dad was to other people....... and what he represented in show business and stuff... and created for you, your own image of the guy? Is that more or less what happened? Fred: Yes ![]() Dave: What's that process like? It must've been exciting? Fred: Uh....... It was exciting and It's kind of like growing up all over again. I move to Los Angeles when I was 18 years old. I just graduated. My buddy was like "you have to get out of here" and I said Why? He said people think you're wierd here. You'll do better in LA. So I moved to LA and I started to come in contac with people who had alot of contac with my father and meeting people that were very close to him and not so close and you learn the good and the bad and I got to be 12 years old all over again and sort of........ got to figure out who my father was as a man for the first time and it was a special experience for me. Dave: And that experience in addition to filling in a blank for you as you were growing up what does it mean now as your looking at starting a family of your own. Fred: It makes you want to be a damn good father and it makes you want to have as many kids as possible. But I don't know how it will go with Sarah. She's a little thing. I want about 5 and I'm working on one with her. We have to compromise. Dave: I think it's a nice story because your father was an enormous star........ and now so are you. Fred: He was a terrific guy, he was a terrific guy........ (This is the part that I wanted to cry) ![]()

Thanks so much for sharing.
I was so glad he tributed his dad. I loved how he said his dad was a terrific guy. I know he never knew him but it blessed my heart to see he said that. Now reading that has got me breaking out the hankies... Tears... I only hope his dad was able to hear from heaven what he said & know his son thinks he's terrific. Now I need another hankie... I just hope Pie always keeps his dads memory alive...I just read what Jr said about his dad to my hubbby Mike. Payback time.
