In 1995 ABC launched On Our Own a sitcom that was centered on brothers and sisters who were orphaned when their parents died in a car crash and with no other relatives to look after them one of the brothers takes makeup and a wig and becomes the wise cracking Aunt Jacinda. This was an awesome sitcom that was one of ABC's most funniest sitcoms of the TGIF Friday lineup. With actor Jussie Smollett making headlines in the news this show is actually the first show that Jussie Smollett along with his brothers and sisters made their debuts as child stars. It's a shame that On Our Own could've lasted longer on ABC for another season because it was a cool sitcom

Hi, Bestie! I remember that show and always wondered what happened to the actors on it.

Was there another show which I think was a one season show called On our own which starred Lynne Greene. She later played young Dorothy on the Golden Girls. The series if I remember was mid 70's show which didn't last long.

On Our Own almost sounds to me like what you would get if you crossed Party of Five with Mrs. Doubtfire.
