This is gonna be the third revival of Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader that's gonna appear on TV. After two Jeff Foxworthy hosted versions of Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader on FOX I think Nickelodeon will do an amazing job with Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader because this is the network that should've been the home of Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader in the first place. I saw the preview of it during Mom and I do think that the Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader revival will replace the Double Dare revival as Nickelodeon's top new game show. I am surprised to see John Cena replace Jeff Foxworthy as host of Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader because I'm a fan of him and WWE wrestling and I do think he will do an awesome job hosting it. I hope they use a new version of the theme song as well

"Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" Revival Gets Premiere Date on Nickelodeon
by Erik Pedersen
May 20, 2019

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEPEfQJopXU

The series that made some parents blush and their kids beam is coming back to wreak more havoc at the dinner table. Nickelodeon has set 7 p.m. Monday, June 10, for the premiere of "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" with new host John Cena.

The game show will relaunch with a week-plus of new episodes through June 19 before settling into its regular 7 p.m. Monday slot on June 24.

Newly added elements to the show include an additional “cheat” option and new ways contestants can enlist the help of their grade-school classmates.

Hi, Bestie! tell me if he is as good as Foxworthy. Do you think Cena will revive The American Bible show too?

I thought John Cena was being groomed as the next big Hollywood action star? And now he's going to host a kiddie show? WTH? I like AYSTA5G and Foxworthy. My kids love the show too, it just seems weird that Cena would want to be involved with this project.

I saw the new version of Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader on Youtube and I think Nickelodeon did an alright job with it but why did they let the kids help out the contestants only once instead like in the Jeff Foxworthy version that let the kids help out the contestants on two questions? It seemed like a new rule on this version that should've never been used. Also different in this version is that the Save cheat is omitted and now the contestant uses two cheats instead of three and I cannot figure out why they did this. Possible rule change I guess. Now onto the main star John Cena and I don't know why Nickelodeon did this but I think someone like Ray Romano could've hosted it better. I mean I like John Cena but this show is made for a kid friendly comedian or Nickelodeon star. I feel that Jeff Foxworthy could've returned as a host of Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader because he was the star and made the show a hit when it first aired on Fox. About the only saving grace is the remix of the theme song and it's much better than the original version. If you want to see Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader stick with the Jeff Foxworthy versions
