I'm watching the Julia Roberts movie Pretty Woman on Freeform and noticed that Freeform shows it in an edited version and I want to know why this is? Because I noticed that the good parts of Pretty Woman have been removed and the romance scenes are gone. I do know that when Pretty Woman debuted in 1990 it was rated R and so i'm wondering if there was a PG rated version of Pretty Woman released to theaters too. The other thing I've noticed in this edited version of Pretty Woman is that the songs have been replaced with remixed versions. Like when they played Roy Orbison's Pretty Woman they played a computer sounding version of it instead of the original version. A second song that has been remixed is Roxette's It Must Have Been Love and in the movie it's a different version. What's the difference between the original Pretty Woman and the Freeform version?

It's pretty common for tv networks / cable channels to edit parts of a movie when they air it. Could be for content, time, music rights...
