The Katy Mixon-led comedy will welcome American Idol host Ryan Seacrest and judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie for a March episode titled "American Idol." The episode will follow Meg Donnelly's Taylor as she pursues her dream to become a musical superstar. While her parents are skeptical, Taylor uses her college fund to travel to Los Angeles to to audition for the Idol judges. This won't be The Wrap's only musical episode -- the May 21 season finale will feature four original songs.

And this was kind of what turned me off of the show for the time being. Shoehorning musical episodes in because the daughter made an album.
