In other words, why bother watching all of these awful reboots when you can watch the original series on TV and online anytime you want? Veteran Canadian TV critic Bill Brioux writes about this as well as Canadian TV's new and long overdue commitment to retro programming:

I will go even further. Why do they make ANY new TV shows when you can watch the classics.Good television is a thing of the past.

I agree with the OP's statement, and will yours even more.
Reboots, and new shows in general, are filled with such modern pc sensibilities that they are unwatchable to me.
In other words, they are crap.

Seems that we have a sample of American audiences here giving disdain to their country's reboots. I hate to ask, but which group do you think does the reboots better: the British, the Americans, the Australians, or which other group?

The British revived Absolutely Fabulous, Doctor Who, All Creatures Great and Small, and some others. They even made sequels to the original shows.
