Chico and the Man mentioned in a song! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I was driving last night and had the radio on and heard this weird song come on that I never heard before. So I gave it a try and thought it was a good song! Well then I heard them mention "Chico and the Man" and was thinking to myself, the people on the CATM board would kinda get a kick out of this!

I don't know it exactly, but the line went something like “Aw, Mom. Not that show again! I don’t wanna watch that show! Can’t we watch Good Times or Chico and the Man or something cool? Turn it off!" I like died laughing think what you all would say.

Well It was an alternative group, kinda new age stuff. But this was a complete turnover from what they normally sing. They flashed back to the 70's, so I don't know. You might like it, but you might not. The song is "AM Radio" by Everclear. It starts off all weird like 30's, then go into 70's and go on. I don't why but I like it.

This is like one of my favorite songs!!! And if you think the song is cool, you should see the video... OMG what a hoot. No CATM clips, I'm afraid, but the take off of the seventies in the video is a classic!!!

I think I've heard of Everclear. It's a new group right? Are they playing on MTV or VH1 now?

I'm not sure. I never really listened to them, but this song kinda got me hooked.

I've heard of EVERCLEAR but being over 40 & only listening to the rock & roll oldies & none of the current music, I have no idea what they sing. Sounds like an interesting video...

I have heard this song ,too.I thought it was pretty cool they say something about Chico & the man.I also have it on a tape.One of the Now....tapes.
