Default You can only watch sitcoms from one decade for the rest of your life : What decade do

You choose? The 50s with I Love Lucy? How bout' the 60s and Gilligan's Island? Or maybe the 70s and Three's Company are more your taste?

I'd personally choose the 70s. So many groundbreaking and hilarious sitcoms came from the decade. What's Happening and Three's Company being my favorites.

The 80s would a close 2nd though with many great sitcoms such as The Golden Girls and Cheers

1960s Sitcoms but I'd really miss I LOVE LUCY and early episodes of Leave It to Beaver.

For me the choice is easy, definitely the 1960's. It's always been my opinion that the 50's was the decade for westerns, 60's the decade for sitcoms, and 70's the decade for police/detective shows. TV shows from the 1980's and forward are pretty much all unwatchable in my opinion.

I would say the best years for sitcoms would have been between 1957-67, with the peak years being from 1960-64.

1951-1971 were my favorite times of television.

Most of my favorites started 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960!

Definitely the 70s-- two of my favorites were from that time: Barney Miller and The Bob Newhart Show!

I’d go with the 80s simply because my all-time favorite sitcom is Mama’s Family.

As much as I love the 60s Paul Henning sitcoms and the sitcoms of the 90s, the 80s is my pick.

I like some 70s sitcoms (mostly “The Jeffersons”) but it never was my favorite decade.

The only shows I like from the 50s are “I Love Lucy” & “Leave It to Beaver”.

Definitely the 1990's for me. The 1980's would be a close second though.
