One of Nick Jr.'s most beloved and remembered shows of the 90's was a show called Gullah Gullah Island that many consider the best of all the 90's Nick Jr. shows. Aimed at preschoolers and toddlers ages 3 to 7 Gullah Gullah Island centered on Ron And Natalie Daise and their kids and nieces and nephews as they taught kids life lessons about growing up and learning through fun lessons and songs with a island feel to it. Along with the adorable and lovable frog Binyah Binyah Gullah Gullah Island was truly a innovative show for kids that also families could watch together too and talk with their kids about the lesson each episode taught. In fact Gullah Gullah Island became so popular that merchandise such as a line of picture books based on the show was made along with several videos of the show was released too and one of the kids from Gullah Gullah Island Vanessa Baden moved on to star in the Nickelodeon sitcom Kenan And Kel as a teenager. It's really a shame that ever since Gullah Gullah Island ended Nick Jr. has never had another successful live action preschool show and Nick Jr. should bring live action preschool shows to their lineup like Gullah Gullah Island instead of focusing on preschool cartoons
