Default What is it with the contestants on CNBC's Deal Or No Deal?

Ever since CNBC began the Deal Or No Deal revival last year I have noticed that the contestants that they have seem to have a mind of their own and focus their attention on anything else rather than playing the game? Is it because CNBC wants the contestants to have a smart personality and be ready to play Deal Or No Deal? Take for instance when Deal Or No Deal had the guy named George play he kept thinking that Case #7 had the million dollar prize but when it was revealed that the million dollars was in Case #6 George should've never picked Case #6 in the first place and should've ignored the advice of his relatives and played his own way and when George lost the last big amount on his board and thanks to his relatives advice he ended up going all the way to the end winning only $75 and the additional $25,000 that was given to George by State Farm I was shocked that George did this and I am surprised that Deal Or No Deal has gotten contestants to do this. Why Deal Or No Deal still has friends and other family members to ask for help i'll never understand at all and they should get rid of the helpers and let the contestant play smart and make their own decisions. A second thing I've noticed that they have contestants that have hobbies or dreams and the show has to have a certain theme or a celebrity appearance around that contestant. For example I've seen contestants that say "I'm the biggest Doctor Who fan of the universe" Or "My daughter desperately wants to meet Justin Timberlake because she is a huge fan of him" and the show makes a Doctor Who or Justin Timberlake themed episode and offers contestants prizes such as Justin Timberlake concert tickets or a Doctor Who meet and greet with the Doctor Who cast. And when I see contestants like this I think they secretly auditioned for Deal Or No Deal just for fun rather than a money prize. And it's gotten to the point after seeing George's shocking episode I think this revival of Deal Or No Deal has boned the fish and I won't watch another episode again after seeing this week's shocking moment

Hi, Bestie! DOND is just desperate for ratings. They are on the low rated CNBC network. Hopefully Howie will go prime time on the real NBC!!

The contestants on DOND are some of the stupidest, obnoxious game show contestants of all-time. Remember, it takes absolutely no skill or intelligence to play the game, you just have to pick a briefcase. An adult would have the same chance of winning than a 12 year old kid.

Another thing I've noticed about the contestants on Deal Or No Deal is that they think that they know what cases to choose because their loved ones decide for them and then blame the contestant for losing huge amounts of money on the board. I also saw the hobby based episode on today's episode on Deal Or Deal when the contestant Sony claimed that she was a giant Deal Or No Deal fan and then kept annoying Howie with her mentioning her obsession with Deal Or No Deal every minute of the show to the point where they had a former contestant of the NBC Deal Or No Deal come out to cheer Sony on. When I saw this it annoyed me so much and if you're gonna be a contestant on Deal Or No Deal don't overdo it with mentioning your favorite hobby over and over on the show

Another thing I noticed about Deal Or No Deal and I happened to see this today is that the contestants just audition to have the chance of meeting a celebrity on Deal Or No Deal. Take for instance on today's episode the contestant Jennifer's mind was not on her game but when Penn Jillette appeared in the episode Jennifer acted like a very excitable teenager waiting to meet her favorite crush at a rock concert and throughout the entire episode every time that Penn Jillette would get near her and talk to her Jennifer got all dreamy about Penn Jillette that she completely forgot about her game and couldn't concentrate at all and she should've never asked for a counteroffer in the first place because Penn had asked her to. I can say that if I was a contestant on Deal Or No Deal I would not be like a teenage girl and tell Howie Mandel how cute he is and if I ran Deal Or No Deal I would have a rule that there would no flirting with celebrity guests because that distracts contestants from playing their game. Another thing I noticed about Deal Or No Deal is that some contestants seem to have a story that seems like an excuse to appear on the show. Like I noticed that the contestant Tony had a story about his grandmother who had just passed away and he had wanted to win money to honor her and if you are a game show contestant you should not make up a huge story to be a winner. I feel that Deal Or No Deal should improve their contestant screenings and contestants who make up a story will not be allowed to play
