I think in all of the Star Trek series the transporter/beaming people to and from a planet is so well known and identified with Trek that nobody's going to do it on another science fiction show because they don't want to be accused of "ripping off" Trek. And I think other science fiction shows can't actually do it because (at least I think so) it's a thing that's actually been trademarked by the Star Trek producers at some point. I could swear I've read that somewhere.
