There were some pretty obnoxious, underhanded or just plain irritating characters on the show. Which one were yours?
I really disliked Judy and Eddie the most but also found Mr. Rutherford irritating. Always trying to brag about Clarance, the biggest dunce ever. But that Eddie....every time he tries to brown- nose the Cleavers you can just see them mustering all their self-control not to say “you are sooo full of sh** Eddie.” |

Judy and Penny were Beaver's nemeses--Judy was the more dislikable. (I could never see Beaver sharing a nice moment with Judy like he did with Penny--the closest Beaver and Judy came to being friendly occurred in School Bus.) There were a couple of times when Miss Landers put Judy in her place--those were enjoyable to see.

Yes, I LOVE IT when Judy gets cut down a notch. You just know Miss Landers is dying deep inside to tell Judy to f*** off.

There were a couple in Goodbye Beaver, I think. In one instance, Miss Landers tells Judy to erase the board, and Judy tells on Charles Fredericks for writing it (a slur on Beaver). Miss Landers raises her voice and says, erase it, Judy! In another instance, she sternly says, Sit down, Judy! I forget what had happened then--Judy was probably complaining about Beaver keeping the gifts.

I've always hated Larry Mondello. He was more of a traitor than Beaver's friend ever.

Yup. Another real winner but Eddie and Judy stand out more cause their personalities were so strong. Larry was weak, so when he betrayed Beaver it was more like the path of least resistance.

Sit down, Judy! makes Goodbye, Beaver, for me. Here's a rejected title for that one--Gimme Back My Present!

Yup Gilbert was pretty sleazy. I always liked Tooey Brown. He was always nice to Beaver except in The Clubhouse. I love when he holds up a marble and says it’s not a crack it’s a vein. He was cute cutting the hedge and doing a bum job in Water Anyone? Of course this thread is about worst character. Eddie definitely showed early that he was a turning into a fiend. Funny just ad an “R” and you have the opposite.

It was interesting to see "Tiger" Fafara (Tooey) show up in "The Igloo Man" (my new title). He looked considerably older, and taller, of course. Probably his last appearance.
We all disliked Eddie, but the show would have suffered later without that character--and Lumpy, too. They got a lot of good scripts with them in the later seasons. |

I think that was Chester with Tooey and Eddie in "The Igloo Man Cometh" (I like that title better).
