Default Did you notice almost NONE the guests/cast became stars in their own right after TC

Often major stars have guest roles in shows when starting out but did you notice that NONE of the guest stars or cast members went on to stardom after TC? Am I missing anyone?

Not any of Jack's girlfriends, the girls' boyfriends, Felipe, Vicki, etc.?

I guess you can say Lana Clarkson did become kind of famous after TC but she was nothing major by any means.

TC was one of the top rated shows of its time so why didn't ANY of the guest stars or cast members went on the stardom after TC??

Even Larry(Richard Kline) was really funny in his own right but he basically disappeared after TC and never capitalized on his TC success!

Jeffrey Tambor became a big star and Joanna Kerns went on to star on Growing Pains. Suzanne later starred on Step by Step.

Good examples but I thought Tambor was already somewhat known before TC. Joanna Kerns is a great example & I completely forgot about her.

He was cast on the Ropers in 1979. Don't know what he was in before that.

But James Cromwell was already in All in the Family before TC. I'm talking people who started on TC either as guest stars or a starting role.

I remember someone saying Rita Wilson was so hot that she could've been a big star or at least had a few major starring roles. Then someone else said at least she married Tom Hanks. LOL.

I just looked at her pic and I don't even remember her in TC. Who did she play?

Richard Kline never had a major starring role in TV or movies after TC despite being very funny on TC.

Yeah, now I see.

Although Mr.Belvedere may have been kinda popular when it was running it's pretty much been forgotten by now since it's not in syndication anywhere.

Of all the ones named so far Jeffrey Tambor is probably the best example of someone who guested on the show and then became a star. He only did bit parts on two or three TV shows before he got The Ropers gig and then guested on Three's Company, so The Ropers was his big break.

Most of the guest stars had been doing television for at least a few years before they showed up on Three's Company. The few who were brand new to TV didn't do much after the show.

Robert Z'dar, who was an uncredited extra in a couple episodes of Three's Company went on to become a big name in the horror/cult classic B-movie scene.

Was Robert Z'dar an extra sitting at the bar at the Reagle Beagle or something?
