Default Why is there so many animal abuse commercials on TV lately?

Nearly every time I watch TV I have noticed that they show a lot of commercials for the World Wildlife Fund and ASPCA and when I have seen these commercials I think that these charities are desperate for money and try to offer people special deals like free shirts and animal photos. Take for example I have seen World Wildlife Fund advertise commercials with different animals with captions like "Stop leopards from being endangered" or "Save the elephants" and when I see these commercials it makes me shocked and annoyed and sad that they overhype these commercials because they want people to give donations for holiday gifts. I'm a lover of leopards and it makes me sad that these commercials featuring leopards air on TV. I thought they were planning to ban these commercials because they are depressing for people but I see they still get overhyped on TV

Hi, Bestie! I hate those ads. They want to guilt us into giving them money. As if they care more about animals than we do.

Yes, I'm always complaining about those ads. I'm convinced very little of the money goes to help the animals--they just keep buying more ads. I always urge people to give to reputable charities, and IMO these junk ads aren't. Note that they never really tell you what they do with the money, they just show those (again IMO) rigged pictures and stress that they want your visa, so they can deduct $19 a month.

They're probably trying to sign up more suckers before the end of the year.

If you want to help animals, give to your local shelters. These commercialized animal charities are a joke.

It's been going on as long as I can remember. It's pretty messed up to be enjoying a sitcom then you see images like that. I hate any kind of abuse to animals so it's hard to watch.

When watching TV, the channel is usually turned anyway until the ads are over.

I hate those commercials. Ugh, those images of abused animals make me sick. I get that it's probably the point, but still...
