Default new Nick at Nite schedule starting Jan 1, 2019: The Office and King of Queens joins

https://twitter.com/nickandmore/stat...26516728061952

There still continues off the clock. SpongeBob still airs at 9PM hour slot though
Starting Tues Jan 1
10:00-11:00p The Office (2x)
11:00p-2:09a Friends (6x)
2:09-4:24a Mom (4x)
4:24-5:27a The King of Queens (2x)
5:27-7:00a George Lopez (3x)

No other shows will be off the lineup then. At least it gets variety. But I wonder why King of Queens move to late night slot instead of primetime, why The Office and King of Queens each get 2 showings, and why Mom still gets 4?

The good thing is George Lopez finally gets reduced

The Office currently airs on Comedy central, and on Cozi will also air on Jan 1 too.

The King of Queen has been currently airing on TVLand and TBS. So I guess these 2 Viacoms will share their rights. Just like Everybody Loves Raymond did before back in early 2015.

This marks new record that N@N acquires 2 new shows on exact same day

I can't say I'm looking forward to any of the new additions to the lineup. Seeing as how other stations currently air both shows. This is exactly why I gave up on Nick @ Nite.

I just said that in my opinion. For a suggestion though, I would put 1 show from each decade instead.

Examples:

A show from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s.

It's a good lineup for late night owls when there isn't much on. Sure it's boring for retro tv fans, but there are decent alternatives.

Great idea! Theme: "Returning to Our Roots":

50s - Donna Reed Show
60s - My Three Sons
70s - Mary Tyler Moore Show
80s - Facts of Life
90s - Home Improvement

Not great choices but good to add some much needed variety

Good choices you picked as well! And that’s exactly what I would call the theme.

I agree Stevea! Fantastic suggestions!

Currently working 2nd shift so when I get home from 12AM-2AM I would love to see some classic TV Sitcoms from the 1950’s & 1960’s & 1970’s.

Currently no station airs 1950’s & 1960’s & 1970’s Sitcoms at 12AM-2AM.
nick@niTe-FRIENDS
TVLAND-The King Of Queens
logo-80’s Program (When not showing movie)
Hallmark-The Golden Girls (when not showing a movie)
Freeform-Movie
Me TV-Drama/Sci-Fi
Antenna TV-90’s Programs
Insp- Western
USA- Law & Order/Modern Family/Movie
WGN America-Married With Children
Local Affiliate-Mom

Nick
at
NITE
was originally started for Showing 1950’s & 1960’s & 1970’s Sitcoms for Primetime and LateNITES as Comfort at NITE.For those who might of missed the reruns during school and or work can always catch the well known shows from those eras at NITE ALL NITE & EVERYNITE!

Alot of people are binge watching Netflix Ditching cable.

Im glad to see some one is trying to put effort into nick@niTe. However there new programs are not what I would like but perhaps there NEW target audience might whoever that might be.

Considering Cozi TV is a free channel for many (on the most basic broadcast packages since it's a subchannel), it's more impressive for it to have rights and be airing 'The Office' than Nick at Nite, at the same time. I'd probably only look into the Nick at Nite offering if it's airing a better episode and nothing else is on tv. I'm not even sure that I have Nick at Nite anymore actually with my package. Many also have Netflix which has the full seasons of the US version.

With it's limited content, Viacom can shrink down it's 8-10 channels down to half or less. Of course, it won't happen, since they can make more money spreading channels thin and then squatting it over more channels.

I was coming to post that same exact thing. Who can eve differentiate between viacom networks when they're all playing the same 2-3 sitcoms at various times of the day? They need to take a page out of Comcast Universal's playbook. They smartly cut out the extraneous channels no one was watching (Esquire, Cloo, Chiller, etc.) and the networks they currently operate have distinctly defined target audiences and are clearly distinguishable between each other (e.g. oxygen targets true crime lovers, syfy for genre enthusiasts, E! for pop culture afficionados and so on and so forth). I still don't get what was the point of rebranding Spike to Paramount when its identity doesn't seem any different than Comedy Central's or TV Land's.

The only thing that's differing between Paramount and Comedy Central/TV Land is that they air MMA pretty much. Along with crappy reality TV that I'm sick of seeing. I actually preferred the station when it was still TNN. At least it's programming had more originality as compared to it's current counterpart. Cause as you mentioned it feels like they're all carbon copies of each other.

What is MMA? Is that a pro wrestling acronym or a TV show?
