Doug Denoff on Steve Allen Show Christmas Episode
I'm not sure if he's been here lately, but I know Sam Denoff's son, Doug, has been on this board frequently in the past, and I just found him as a young boy on Steve Allen's 1961 ABC show. This episode was aired just before Christmas and taped at Steve & Jayne Meadows' house. This was the 2nd-to-last show, as ABC cancelled it just before the end of the year. It was up against the #1 show on tv that year, WAGON TRAIN, which would explain its ratings failure. This special also features Tim Conway, then known by his real name, Tom, and the Smothers Brothers. Here's a link:

It would be fun to know about the production of this show. Tim Conway needed an extra suit; you'll know why if you watch his first segment in this show. |
