Full House Season 9 ( The WB Network Pilot episode )

Looking at a few threads in here about FH/The WB.
Let be clarify what happened.


Michele Rides again was not suppose to be the last episode, going into it it was thought that the WB would be launching in fall 95 and using Full House as a classic show to start it's Thursday night block. A pilot episode for The WB was shot around Jan/Feb 95 (during season 8) it was sort of like a test episode. It was just Saget and a date with him, only 10 min of the episode was filmed. Abc had told production that there is a good chance this will be the last season as fees were going up to an astronomical height.


Towards the end of Jan Stamos told the cast he would not be coming back for Season 9 (unsure if the WB would be a good network) also he was wanting to break out into other roles and not be type casted. Candace was already going to college by Fall 95 (it was planned this would be written into season 9's script) Things kind of fell apart by the end. Abc announced that they were really serious about not renewing Full House. And the announcement was done. Miller Boyett & Crew had to re film Michele rides again to add Steve in at the very end (There is another version filmed where Steve is not at the door)


All stood up is filmed and is the last episode ever filmed, A curtain call was done after this episode. It was decided in April that Michele Rides again seemed more like a better Finale and the curtain call from all stood up was swapped to enter this episode.

And thats what really happened.



There were talks about Full House getting a new hip intro for The WB, there was talk about a lot of things.
Gladly we have Fuller House to fill that void.
