Question If not Miami, where?

Take four "older" ladies, and get all kinds of crazy stuff...

but if not in Miami, where would you have put them? And give some example of what would be an episode based on location.

(Example -- the "Miami" song...)

I probably would have put them in Las Vegas.

(ex. In the ep. where they were arrested for a being hookers. Prostituting is in
Las Vegas.)

Or maybe in California. Both Florida and California has nice weather and bad weather.

(ex. In the ep. where Gloria came to visit, Stan had a monkey and there was a hurricane "uh comin".)

There's the retirement village of Sun City, Arizona!!! Of course, the only one who was retired was Sophia, so that probably wouldn't have worked. Las Vegas would have been cool. But I think Miami was the perfect locale for the show!

I think it's hard to imagine them anywhere other than Miami really. I think Las Vegas would be good too, but I think they chose the right location with Sunny Florida I'd give my right arm to live in a house like theirs!!

Vegas would be a cool spot...

It would go well for when the girls were arrested for prostitution!

Sophia: Arrested for prostitution, I can't believe it!!

Dorothy: Ma, we're innocent!!!

Sophia: I know that! I can't believe these cops would think anyone would pay to SLEEP with you!

I liked Miami.

But another good place could have been Atlanta!

I think Miami worked just fine, but I'd say Las Vegas if I had to choose.

I don't know why, but I could see them in a cold climate like Minnesota or Wisconsin. During the long, cold winters they could all get cabin fever and begin to bicker and get on each other's nerves. This could provide the show with hundreds of subplots.
