More Colorized I Love Lucy and Dick Van Dyke Show on CBS

I hope these come out on DVD, as they are heavily edited on CBS, and presented in a letterbox.

The linked article says they do this every year, but I thought they skipped last year.

I don't recall if they skipped last year or not but I also hope it comes out on DVD.

I see on Amazon there are some episodes that have been colorized out on DVD. They're titled "I Love Lucy Superstar Special #1" and "I Love Lucy Superstar Special #2". Each with 2 episodes colorized. They're the same ones that were broadcast on TV so probably edited same as when they aired.

Episodes on #1 are "L.A. at Last" and "Lucy & Superman" which CBS aired in color on 5/7/2015.

Episodes on #2 are "Lucy visits Grauman's" and "Lucy and John Wayne" which CBS aired in color on 5/20/16.

These are the only 2 I that can see. I remember CBS aired the grape stomping episode in color and also the one where Lucy wears the heavy headdress and tumbles down the steps while shooting a movie. Can't find a DVD release on those, but would like that also. Heck, i'd buy the whole series if they colorized it.

EDIT: I tried adding a link to the Amazon listing, but it redirects to some spam site and I removed it. So just go to Amazon and type in the title and it'll pop up.

And they are apparently full length episodes. The back of the box on the #2 special states "The laughs never stop with the I Love Lucy Superstar Special #2, guest starring John Wayne, as broadcast on CBS 5/20/16. Also included are the full length versions of the two featured episodes, both colorized and in black and white."

I have the ones you mentioned, and yes, they're full-length on the DVDs. Also no letterbox.

^”Job Switching” is on the season 2 Blu-ray and “Lucy’s Italian Movie” is on the Christmas special DVD...

To my knowledge, “Job Switching” is the only color episode on Blu.

I don’t think “Lucy Gets in Pictures” has been put on DVD.

That's the one where she falls down the steps wearing the heavy headdress? I think that one aired on CBS in December of 2016.
