I mainly watch Antenna TV and DVDs. "The Good Place" is the only show I watch on network TV, I've dropped "Murphy Brown" from my schedule but I was watching it but it got way too political and preachy for me.

I SHOULD be watching the DVDs more, since they're mostly unedited, full episodes, without all those ridiculous ads on Antenna TV. But a lot of times it's just easier to watch it on TV. Even better, DVD record it and skip thru the ads.

Discs (which I should be seeing more of; I've got enough to choke a horse)!

The only current shows I faithfully watch are “Days of our Lives” and “Wheel of Fortune”.
On occasion I watch “Judge Judy” and “The People’s Court”. I watch some sitcoms on Logo. Other than that, I watch my DVDs. |

DVDs - the only current shows I watch are "Mom" and "The Conners," and those shows I watch on Amazon Video. So DVD is the most way I watch TV shows but I also stream a few (such as the above two mentioned).

Up to this year I watched mainly Antenna TV. But then noticed they were shoving an extra set of commercials in all their shows around the 22 minute mark and cutting off shows literally mid scene to accommodate them. That really ticked me off.
And the commercials started to become more annoying as well. (That 10 minute Plexiderm commercial? ACK!!!) I was beginning to quickly reach for the remote just to avoid them, until I just said "Enough!" and started dvd shopping. There are so many steals on Ebay for used dvd's of classic sitcom seasons that I began stocking up on them. I Dream of Jeannie, Bewitched, Partridge Family...all shows I can happily tune into over and over I got for pennies on the dollar....and unedited with NO disgusting commercials! And i'm continuing to grow my collection. So as of now, it's more dvd's than live TV and it won't be long until it's all dvd watching. |

Watching classic shows on DVD is a definite YES for me.
I really don't understand why anyone would want to watch classic shows on Television. I mean think about it. With dvds you can watch your favorite shows when you want to watch them without any commercials. The only exception is shows that have not been released to dvd. I always DVR those because I despise commercials. I refuse to sit through a commercial break. Plus I don't have to put up with those stupid and annoying black bars on the sides of the TV screen. I know exactly how to get rid of them. Satellite and Cable TV are completely worthless and a total waste of money. Don't understand anyone who prefers cable/satellite over dvds. |

I honestly can't understand why the tv stations can't run these shows to accommodate today's larger screens. It shouldn't be so difficult. Those black bars are really distracting. It's equivalent to watching vertical video on You Tube. Whenever I see those I immediately click them off because of the black bars. Why can't people just turn their phones horizontally while recording?!...But that's a whole other post I guess lol. |

I got rid of my cable years ago. Plenty enough good tv for me to get free OTA. I record my favorites via Tivo and then rip them to my computer. I have a few shows on dvd but haven't bought any in years, I don't need more media to clutter up my house. I'd rather buy shows on streaming which I do for the case of the Walking Dead which I can't get OTA.
