I probably made the comment too soon. I think one of the best combos of old TV was Connelly and Mosher of Leave It To Beaver. I'm guessing not a word about them, but I could be wrong.

I also think Eugene Rodney and Robert Young were quite successful with Father Knows Best, and of course Desilu with I Love Lucy.

Chuck Lorrie does a good interview on EmmyTVleggonds.org and he talks about how he came to do all the sit coms he's done. He struggled for a long time for he made it. Norman Lear did the same interview and he also struggled for a long time before he made it. It's really worth watching. A lot of sit coms were turned down several times before a network decided to give them a chance and then they became big hits and some of them got a slow start in the ratings like Cheers and then they became big hits.

Don't have the $30+ right now, but I wouldn't mind seeing if my library has a Kindle version. It sounds fascinating.
