Anyone remember Delta House, the sitcom spinoff of the hit movie Animal House? A number of he cast members who were in the movie appeared in the sitcom, including John Vernon as Dean Wormer, Stephen Furst as Flounder and James Widdoes as Hoover.

Since John Belushi was unavailable to reprise his role of Bluto since he was probably filming The Blues Brothers and still on Saturday Night Live, there was a new character named Blotto, played by Josh Mostel.

Unfortunately, Delta House was canceled after 13 episodes.

I remember this show; and it was pretty bad. The problem was the movie was rated R so they obviously couldn't do the kind of humor (and the nudity) that made the movie so funny.
I remember reading an interview with one of the writers after it was cancelled and he was also saying that. I remember one thing he said was ABC told them not to have many scenes of them drinking beer; for instance.

The ratings were actually decent, but the producers had too many creative differences with the network, so it was cancelled.

I wonder why they didn’t just call it “Animal House”?
