Ralph Kramden, a NY MLB fan? (Part 5)

(The Boston Red Sox won the ALDS, 3 games to 1, by beating the NY Yankees 4-3.)

(Ralph & Ed come home all sad. They arrive at the front step of the apartment building.)

Ed: "What a lousy end of the season."

Ralph: "You can say that again. I thought that the Yankees were going to beat the odds in the bottom of the ninth when the bases were loaded. Fans were erupting..."

Ed: "Your voice echoing throughout the stadium since it's so loud."

Ralph: "Only for the wind to be let out of our sails."

Ed: "Hey Ralph, McGarrity has that huge sign saying: 'Red Sox Rule.'"

Ralph: "Oh he does, huh? You are coming in with me to carry a ladder and help me disface that sign with paint."

Ed: "Wait a minute. Do you think that I should climb the ladder."

Ralph: "So, you are saying that I am too fat and too heavy to climb the ladder? Why don't you just say it."

Ed: "You just did."

Ralph: "Alice may not be alone on the moon."

(They go inside to get the ladder. They come back out with Ed carrying the ladder, spray paint and a bucket of paint. Ralph sets up the ladder and immediately breaks the front step due to his weight.)

Ralph (yells): "DON'T LAUGH NORTON."

(He resumes climbing the ladder. He opens up the can of paint but then decides to use the spray paint. A cop comes by.)

Cop (scaring Ralph, yells): "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"

(Ralph accidentally knocks the can of paint all over the cop.)

Cop (yells): "COME ON DOWN. YOU ARE UNDER ARREST."

Ralph: "Sir..."

Cop (yells): "COME ON."

(Ralph comes down and gets cuffed with Ed.)

Ed: "Looks like anohter one of your overnight plans has gone to pot."

(Ralph elbows Ed.)

(Jackie walks on stage. Crowd cheers.)

Jackie: "Thank you. GOOD NIGHT!"

(Crowd cheers.)
