If Ward knew Dick Kramer from State and could call and fix things for Lumpy how is it he couldn’t have gotten Wally a scholarship?
Also when Fred thanks Ward and Wally for that party they threw for Lumpy why didn’t he mention June first and foremost? She did all the food, made the cake and did the decorating. |

Maybe June and Ward didn't feel a scholarship was needed for Wally. In those days, college wasn't as expensive as today. Did Lumpy have a talent that could have given him a scholarship?

Didn't Ward say that they had been saving for the boy's college for some time and that Wally could start college and get a scholarship later?

It's odd that he was willing to call Kramer on Lumpy's behalf, and didn't even mention Kramer when Wally got the rejection letter.
Fred sure showed his wonderful parenting in this episode. Wonder how he treated Violet. Maybe she was his little boob. |

I seem to remember something somewhere that Lumpy played an instrument, and that he played that particular instrument and not another because Fred had inquired what they had more need for at State.

Didn’t Lumpy get a scholarship for his football skills on the field. They called him the Rock of Granite.
Fred was very mean to Lumpy and I’m surprised Lumpy was so good natured. Not as rude and mean as he was to his wife at the Langley wedding. She should have spoken up. |

I remember in Wally’s Practical Joke Lumpy plays the tuba and Fred tells him to go inside and not to practice that stupid tuba your mother is taking a nap.
Love when Fred, in Parking Attendants, tells Lumpy on the phone to get back to his calculus. Lumpy says to himself I’m still taking algebra. I think Fred also mentions some lofty subject on the phone and Lumpy says he was blowing out a carburetor. |

Fred was about to call him a big boob or something when Geraldine/Gwen stopped him. Mustn't show our bad side in front of the golf cheater. The Langleys' house (exterior) was the Bachelor Father Bentley Gregg house.
Wally's Practical Joke was a great episode. I liked the end, where Beaver had rigged Wally's bed to collapse. |

Also Langleys’ house exterior was Gilbert’s house in Beaver’s Record Club.

The LITB (new) house exterior was reused for The Bill Engvall Show, and probably others.
