I thought Millionaire was only open to American and Canadian contestants to play? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Today on this morning's episode of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire I saw a contestant who was a returning contestant from yesterday's episode from London England and when I saw this contestant I was surprised because I thought that one of the rules of contestant auditions for Who Wants To Be A Millionaire was that contestants had to be residents of the United States and Canada in order to play the game and I never knew that contestants from other countries could play too now. Is this a new rule for Millionaire contestant auditions?

Hi, Bestie! I say America first, when it comes to game show contestants! If foreigners want to go on a game show, go on one in their own country!

Ummmm people can be born and live most of their lives in a different country and then move to the United States or Canada. They were originally from London and now reside in North America.
