Howdy y'all. Who else is watching "The Monkees" on TV Land? I'm happy they decided to show it. I remember watching it on Nick-at-Nite on Block Party Summer '97 before they replaced it with "Green Acres". I hope TV Land keeps "The Monkees" long enough to show all of the episodes, which would take 29 weekends to show.

The moment we've all been waiting for has finally arrived!
For the first time in 2 years, The Monkees TV show is airing on cable and satellite on the new TV Land Kitschen lineup, hosted by Martin Mull and Fred Willard, every early Saturday and Sunday @ 1:30 AM Eastern/12:30 AM Central Time on TV Land!!! To herald this special occasion, I have added a special chart on the front page of my Monkees Film & TV Vault which will indicate which episodes of The Monkees will be seen on TV Land in that month. That way, people will see what's on, watch the show, and then come back to my site to view the episode's corresponding page. Happy viewing!

I can't even stay up to watch The Monkees. Hmmph.......... I go up to Gidget and The Flying Nun and halfway thru The Flying Nun I'm nodding out. I really wish these shows would be put on at a decent time.

Hi! I'm definitely watching the monkees on tv land, and enjoying every minute of it! They'd better air all 2 seasons--or they'll have some angry monkees fans after them. I still can't believe it's on, lol. I hope they keep it. I really really hope so. I just don't think i'll be able to stand them taking it away again. tv land's going downhill....but anyway, do you have aol? keyword tv land. they have a message board w/ a monkees folder. it's more active than this place. =)

TV Land is going downhill....but anyway,
I watched it for the first time last night. Great, but it's more fun watching it on my Columbia House tapes. |

Columbia House released the Monkees on tape? I only new that Rhino did. But I'm gonna get the episodes I haven't seen(if they keep the show long enough), well--actually, i'm recording all that they show. I'm getting them in order, this way, and sometimes they leave in stuff on tv land that they took out on sgn, and vice versa. But I figure we'd all better watch and support our monkees so they'll have good ratings and continue to be on for other late night channel surfers to discover and enjoy.

Jenny--the vcr......or caffeine.......or both. No offense to any Gidget fans, but the minute I watched of a show looked awfully stupid to me....maybe if I gave it a chance???But I don't think I will. That'd screw up my tv viewing schedule, lol.

Kewl! So when did Colombia do this? Was it a boxed set, individual tapes, or both? Cost? And do they have a catalog or something where I can order it? Thanks for answering all my questions, lol!

I stayed up last night late and I got to see this show for the first time ever, it's actually pretty good I thought it would be boring, but it turned out to be funny. The theme song is catchy lol I like it.

Thanks dawsongirl!!!! Now for one more itty bitty question:
How many tapes is it in all? I really want to get them, but the price is a bummer(actually, my mom might freak, LOL!!!!) But I know it'll be worth it and I'll treasure it forever....or I might just wait til they put it out on dvd? Thanks for your help! |
