What do you think the show would have been llike if Richie and Ralph stayed? It would have been better!! Imagine roger hangingout with both Ralph and Potsie!! And Rich too!! Imagine Ralph and Potsie in a duel between the Belvin Bros. ( Eugene Belvin, talk about trying to repalce Ralph!!! He was waaaaaaaay nerdier than Ralph, too nerdy for even Ralph to handle) No offense to those hwo do like the last four season better. I think they would have been better with Rich and Ralph, the last four to me are no way as good as season 1-7, In the last foru seaosn the Fab Five turned into The Threesome Instead of Rich-Potsie-Ralph-Fonzie-Chachi it was just Potsie-Fonzie-Chachi, but it was still good but not as good as when Richie and Ralph were there Potsie is not Potsie without Ralph same with Fonzie and Richie, anyone agree?

Agreed! I wish Ralph & Rich would have stayed on! Unfortunately, as you may know, Don didn't care much for the post 1980 scripts & wanted to go into a different direction, & Ron Howard signed a movie contract with NBC. Still, I wish that Ralph & Potsie could have appeared on the last episode "Passages." I noticed in "welcome home" that Ralph only appears in part one.

I agree. The show was never the same once Richie and Ralph left.

After Ralph and Ritchie left the writers had absolutely no idea what to do with Potsie. Unfortunately they turned him into a characature instead of a character. Instead of allowing the character to grow and develop in new ways they made him a buffoon and the butt of many jokes. Fortunately they did the opposite with Fonzie. They did allow his character to grow and develop( he became a business owner, a teacher, and had a long term relationship with one woman). This was what kept the show at all watchable in the final seasons. To bad they couldn't do the same thing for Potsie.
