The initial casting of Josh Lawson and Dreama Walker in the roles of Dave and Gemma Johnson in the new CBS sitcom The Neighborhood was announced in the spring of 2018. Then, after The Neighborhood received a series order last May, Max Greenfield replaced John Lawson in the role of Dave Johnson, and in June, Beth Behrs replaced Dreama Walker in the role of Gemma Johnson.
I would have been fine with the casting of Beth Behrs in this new sitcom if there had been a proper final season of Ms. Behrs's previous sitcom, 2 Broke Girls, rather than 2BG having been cancelled abruptly. Because that proper send-off never happened, I thought none of its cast would ever work on a CBS show again. I wish Beth Behrs had gotten a feature-film career instead, and they should have gotten a different actress in the Gemma role. Anyone see the casting of Beth Behrs in a new CBS show a mistake because of the network's poor treatment of 2BG? I am going to avoid The Neighborhood because of this. |

that stupid reason to not watch the neighborhood clearly beth is on it so she likes cbs and wants people to watch it. if she really hated cbs for what happened she wouldnt of done the show. they gave 2 broke girls an ending sorta max got married or is getting married to that guy and caroline has a guy also and they made a movie about her. I loved 2 broke girls also and was sad when it got cancelled. but that how tv works not that they didnt want to give it a propery ended or continue it on you have to understand how tv works. it cost money and time and so forth to keep shows going and if not enough people are watching it anymore they cant spend money on a show not enough people are watching just to give it a proper ending. plus if they werent planning on ending it but got another season to end it let say than that would of felt rushed because than they would of had to make up some ending and do crap when they werent ready to end it yet anyways.

That's great information, I had no idea of the show background. Dreams Walker is fantastic, her work on the abc comedy Don't Trust the B in Apt was really entertaining for me and I was very sad when it went off of abc. I'm not familiar with jl's work but I'm interested now that i see what you wrote, and his former involvement, he must be a real star

As it is, I don't think you are going to force me to watch The Neighborhood or otherwise change my mind about this in any way. I will never, ever watch any new sitcoms on CBS or produced by Warner Bros. again. |
