I'm not sure if this has ever been discussed before, but are there any episodes you can think of where the sitcom characters primarily lived on the mainland, but went to another country or overseas, like on vacation? Some that I can think of are...

Randy Taylor moved to Costa Rica in the final season of Home Improvement as a way of writing the departing Jonathan Taylor Thomas off the show.

Tony and his father went to some oriental country (I forget where) on TAXI once.
The Douglases went to Paris once on Green Acres.
Ed Brown went to Mexico once on CHICO & THE MAN.
The Ricardos and the Mertzes went to Japan and Mexico on twoepisodes of THE LUCY-DESI COMEDY HOUR.

Married with Children: three parts episode in UK, after the Bundy won a trip.
Bewitched: Samantha and Endora goes to Paris.

The Douglases went to multiple countries, different trips, on My Three Sons.

Danny and Kathy went multiple countries on Danny Thomas Show.
