Wally can’t make up his mind. In Younger Brother he tells Ward he is going to Julie Foster’s house to study for finals. Then in Beaver’s Typewriter he’s going to Maryellen’s to do homework. Later in Merchant Marines he has an argument with Maryellen. Later he takes Julie out to the White Fox since he eats so much at her house.

He says in one episode he's not a swinger. He really is.
And he gets ticked when Julie goes with Wayne Gregory. Meanwhile he's going with Mary Ellen, Cathy Gregory, Kitty Bannerman, Ginny Townsend, Alma Hanson, Carolyn Stuart, Shirley Fletcher, Marlene Holmes, Carol the tennis player, Lori Ann from the library, too-tall Gail Preston, Evelyn Boothby (Daddy, isn't Wally the yummiest?), et al. |

There's another girl very early in the first season, named Penny, also very manipulative. Beaver puts an end to that relationship by bringing her a frog as a gift.
And in Mary Ellen's first appearance, she pretends to be friends with Beaver to maneuver Wally into asking her to a dance. |

Wow stevea looks like you covered Wally’s girlfriends even the one date only ones. Don’t forget they changed Maryellen to Myra Parker and Gloria Kusick to Julie Foster.
Wally was ready to give it all up for Lori Ann then she’s gone. Wally also didn’t date them but was intrigued by Judy Walker, Beaver’s babysitter, Georgia Battson and Margie Manners. Boy Wally was so busy. |

I'm pretty sure Pamela Baird went back to playing Mary Ellen after playing Myra in the orchid episode.

And yet Wally acted so innocent with Marlene. "Golly!"

He was playing in the Pony League and Marlene was in the World Series (as Wally told Beaver when he was panting over Mary-Margaret).
Yes, Pamela Baird as Mary Ellen was in at least "Wally and Dudley" later. I kind of wonder if the Myra the Orchid Girl role was a last minute substitution. |

Beaver mentions how he could never like kissing girls as much as Wally likes it. He obviously had some experience in the amour department but we never see it. He just holds hands with Julie or knows how to dance and is always a gentleman. I love the Marlene Episode it shows how Wally responds to a woman of the world. Eddie and Marlene should have gotten together however she does say “That cute boy’s with you?”

Yeah and June had a fit when they all saw him holding hands with Julie.
Gilbert showed how naive he was in the Marlene episode (approximation of dialog): "I think that's what they call a woman of the world." LOL - I just thought of a good Beaver response: "You mean that's what they call a lady of the evening." |
