I think that Mr Doyle should have at least let Beaver have another practice day and not told him he wasn’t any good. He never gave him a chance even though Beaver was very clumsy. He was just nervous and should have let him try again. The other boys were rude laughing at him. That episode was contrived.

Later in Beaver the Caddy he told Langley he was going to play for the LA Lakers.

Does anyone know what Fred meant when he was accompaning Ward to see Beaver practicing. Fred says something about picking up some other guys and we can do card studs? Car stunts? Did anyone get that?

Yeah, in season 6 he was suddenly the star athlete. Catching Terry's pass and later having the Beaver Special, and later playing in the pony league.

I don't remember that line of Fred's, but I have a question about Lumpy's Car Trouble. After they showed those scenes on the Camel Back Cutoff, and they found the spring but it still wouldn't start (you'd NEVER really find that spring!), didn't the original episode show them eventually getting the car back to the highway, and into a service station? I could check the DVD, but I thought someone might remember.

Yes MeTV cuts out that scene showing Eddie at the wheel and the other three pushing the car on the dirt road and later onto the main route maybe highway 7 where Boothby sees them. They all of a sudden show them at the Cleaver house getting out of the car after deciding to push the car. I think we needed to see that scene.

That was a bad scene to cut. It would have been better to cut the scene where June was worrying about them being late.
