Alex Landi Cast as "Grey's Anatomy's" First Gay Male Surgeon

A new surgeon is joining the ranks at Grey’s Sloan Memorial. Alex Landi has been cast as Dr. Nico Kim for the upcoming 15th season of ABC’s "Grey’s Anatomy".

Landi’s Kim will be the series’ first gay male surgeon. A relative newcomer, Landi has credits that include a recent guest-starring role on CBS’ "Bull".

The number of episodes he will appear in wasn't revealed.

Alex Landi revealed on Instagram that he is reprising his role of Schmitt’s ex, Dr. Nico Kim, in Season 20 of the long-running ABC drama.

Whether Landi’s comeback means that Nico and Levi will try, try again remains to be seen. Landi had left "Grey's" when he landed a recurring role on The CW's "Walker".
