I made another revision to my digital subchannel similar to MeTV and AntennaTV. My last revision was related to the issue of Syndication Exclusivity (SyndEx) of TV show airings. This time, I took in the issue of music clearances. In the mid-to-late 1990's, VH1 aired The Best of American Bandstand, but only as 30 minute edits of originally hour-long shows. I'm not entirely sure if this was related to music clearance issues (due to copyright) or if it was that VH1 only wanted to run the show in a half-hour format, though more than likely it was the former issue.
In this revision, I am writing this schedule as if the channel is a sister network to AntennaTV, due to the fact that MeTV already has two sister networks (Heroes & Icons and Decades), so AntennaTV would be the more logical partner network. AntennaTV has a sister network as well (ThisTV), but ThisTV mainly airs movies instead of classic TV shows like Heroes & Icons and Decades. In addition, access to AntennaTV's library of shows, adding shows no longer airing on AntennaTV (much like Decades) as well as shows on the back burner of their schedule (currently airing overnight) that would be more likely to get dropped. The rest consists of shows not airing on any other subchannel or no longer airing on these networks. Here is what I have so far: Monday-Friday: 6:00am Square Pegs (Monday) Angie (Tuesday) On Our Own (a short-lived 1977-78 sitcom, Wednesday) Flo (a spin off of Alice, Thursday) The Bad News Bears (Friday) 6:30am Super Friends 7:00am The Flintstones 7:30am Garfield & Friends 8:00am Captain Kangaroo (E/I) It has been reported that the majority of episodes have been wiped, or destroyed (especially the early B&W episodes), but I do know that MANY episodes aired on PBS during the mid-to-late 1980's; though nearly all of the PBS airings were from the mid-70's onward. 9:00am The Patty Duke Show 9:30am The Honeymooners 10:00am The Rockford Files 11:00am The Waltons 12:00noon Happy Days 12:30pm Happy Days 1:00pm Laverne & Shirley 1:30pm Mork & Mindy 2:00pm Eight is Enough 3:00pm Family Matters 3:30pm Sabrina the Teenage Witch 4:00pm 7th Heaven 5:00pm 7th Heaven 6:00pm Head of the Class 6:30pm Silver Spoons 7:00pm One Day At a Time 7:30pm Step By Step 8:00pm Full House 8:30pm Who's the Boss? 9:00pm The Golden Girls 9:30pm Benson 10:00pm Cheers 10:30pm Cheers 11:00pm Dallas (the classic 1978-91 run) 12:00 midnight Ryan's Hope 12:30am Ryan's Hope Fun & Games Overnight: 1:00am Match Game PM (The Daytime run currently airs on Buzzr) 1:30am The Price is Right: CBS Daytime, 1972-75 (Monday-Thursday) Syndicated Prime-Time 1972-80 (Friday) Due to the abundance of fur coats given away on this version, as per Bob Barker's wishes, there will only be enough for a once a week airing (approx 40 of the 240 episodes in the 70's nighttime shows had no furs given away). This was hosted by Dennis James (from 1972-1977) and Bob Barker (1977-1980). 2:00am The Price is Right (CBS Daytime; September 1975, November 1975-present) 3:00am Wheel of Fortune (1983-present Syndicated Prime Time run) 3:30am Wheel of Fortune (ditto) 4:00am Jeopardy! (1984-present Syndicated Prime Time run) 4:30am Jeopardy! (ditto) 5:00am Tic Tac Dough (1978-86 run) 5:30am The $25,000 Pyramid (CBS Daytime, 1982-88) Saturday: 6:00am H.R. Pufnstuf (a classic Sid & Marty Krofft show) 6:30am Sigmund & the Sea Monsters (ditto) 7:00am Pac-Man (1982-1984 cartoon) 7:30am Totally Tooned In (This is a collection of cartoons released by Columbia Pictures; such as Mr. Magoo, The Fox and the Crow, Krazy Kat, Scrappy, and Gerald McBoing Boing. The show aired on AntennaTV a few years ago, hence my parterning this network with their owners!) 8:00am Heckle & Jeckle with Quackula (1979-1982 cartoon) 8:30am Speed Buggy 9:00am The New Adventures of Mighty Mouse (from the same 1979-1982 cartoon series as 8:00am) Sunday: 6:00am Land of the Lost (another Krofft show, this time the classic 1974-1977 run and not the 1991-1992 remake) 6:30am The Banana Splits Show 7:00am The New Adventures of Batman (1977-1980 run, yes with Bat-Mite!) 7:30am Totally Tooned In 8:00am The New Scooby Doo Movies (1972-74 run, where Scooby and the gang co-star with animated versions of well-known celebrities from the time, such as Don Knotts, Sandy Duncan, Batman and Robin, The Harlem Globetrotters, Sonny and Cher, "Mama" Cass Elliot, Dick Van Dyke, and Jonathan Winters!) 9:00am Richie Rich (1980-83 cartoon series) Saturday & Sunday: 9:30am Sparks (E/I) This is a Sci-Fi series about time travel produced for WRAL-TV 5, a local TV station in Raleigh, NC that ran from 1985 to 1990. Here's more about the series: http://history.capitolbroadcasting.c...-shows/sparks/ https://www.wral.com/wral-tv/video/1180973/ https://history.capitolbroadcasting....-pony-express/ 10:00am The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Show (This will open with the famous This is It opening number and the occasional bumpers between cartoons with Bugs & friends, but will have the original opening titles on the cartoons with the zooming WB in the rings instead of the abbreviated one page titles used in the Saturday Morning run! This show will run for 90 minutes.) 11:30am The All-New Popeye Show (1978-1983 cartoon) 12:00noon Disney's House of Mouse 12:30am The Charlie Brown & Snoopy Show (This will include the cartoon from the 1983-86 Saturday Morning run & numerous Prime-Time TV specials from over the years! The Holiday-themed cartoon specials, however, will not be included in this run.) 1:00pm The Best of American Bandstand 1:30pm The Best of American Bandstand 2:00pm Sports Classics (4 full hours of classic sports events from over the years!) 6:00pm House Calls 6:30pm Rocky Road (This is a short-lived TV Sitcom produced for Superstation WTBS from 1985 to 1987) 7:00pm The Wonderful World of Disney 8:00pm The Wonderful World of Disney 9:00pm The Wonderful World of Disney (Saturday) Crazy Like a Fox (Sunday) 10:00pm Fantasy Island 11:00pm Fantasy Island 12:00midnight The Paper Chase Fun & Games Overnight: 1:00am Hollywood Squares (1971-1981 Syndicated Prime-Time run) 1:30am Hollywood Squares (1971-1981 Syndicated Prime-Time run) 2:00am The Price is Right (CBS Daytime; September 1975, November 1975-present) 3:00am Wheel of Fortune (NBC Daytime) 3:30am Wheel of Fortune (NBC Daytime) 4:00am Let's Make a Deal (1971-1977 Syndicated Prime-Time run) 4:30am Let's Make a Deal (1971-1977 Syndicated Prime-Time run) 5:00am The $20,000 Pyramid (ABC Daytime) 5:30am The $20,000 Pyramid (ABC Daytime) Shows marked with (E/I) are Educational and Informational for children.
