Well this is exciting news! Just recently, it was announced that my cousin is getting married to another guy in New York next month.

I can't go to it unfortunately, but there will be a party in October that I'm planning on attending.

What difference does it make to you? I am not for homosexuality myself but what an
adult man does himself is no one else's business.

It is a milestone because years ago same sex marriage was illegal.

I think it's nice if two people who love each other can marry. I am happy for Mikaela's couisin, wishing them a happy marriage!

Gay marriage was still illegal in NY in 2011. It is a break through and very important thing here in the US. Americans like to talk about.

Well it's your thread so you can write it as you like. But if my gay auntie was getting married in Wisconsin it would be the wedding which was the chief phenomenon, not the fact that she was a lesbian.
