Default Pitch your pilot here: A fun thread. Come on, give it a shot or share your comments

Let's have a little fun here and pretend we are development hacks pitching to the networks. Pitch the idea, the stars you have in mind and what network you might pitch it to. Comments are, of course, welcome and encouraged! I will go first:

"Mom and Me"
Joyce Dewitt, in her return to network tv following a far to long absence, plays mom to her skinny twenty something son. (a Jason Biggs type.) They live in a penthouse in NYC and live the good life. Dad died when the boy was small or so he has been told by mama. Sonny boy decides to take a college trip to Paris and needs his birth certificate to get his passport. Mama tries to talk him out if it and after some hilarious hide and seek, sonny boy finds it in mom's hiding place. It has his name on it and lists the birth place as Hope, Arkansas. "I thought I was born in New York?" He says directly into the camera perplexed. The space for father is left blank and after sonny boy digs around, he finds a picture of mom and a man who looks like, could it be, it is, President Clinton! They are smooching. Could it be? Will Mom finally fess up? How will he tell his sexy hot young girlfriend? (A Liv Tyler type.) What will his snobbish pal Robert (a cross between Chandler from Friends and a younger version of Niles from Frasier) think?

Perfect to pitch to ABC as a mid season replacement/possible companion piece to John Ritter's new show. Think of the cross over potential!

Title: "Author, Author"

This one hour comedy/drama, based on the film starring Al Pacino, follows the trials and tribulations of Ivan Trevalian, a brilliant playwright who can't decide which is crazier - his home life or his professional life.
His second wife Gloria recently divorced him, leaving him with the kids, a rambunctious group made up mostly of Gloria's children from her multiple marriages.
There's precocious Geraldo, preteen hustler Spike, the twins Bonnie (the shy one) and Debbie (the troublemaker) and Igor, Ivan's 16 year old son from his first marriage.
Ivan tries his best to play referee, counselor and Father with his family, which he has dubbed "The Brady Bunch from Hell" while overseeing production of his latest play, a surefire blockbuster starring one of Hollywood's biggest stars, Alice Detroit, who beneath her facade of America's sweetheart (think Meg Ryan), she's actually a flaky, neurotic mess. Despite a rough start when he meets Alice, Ivan finds himself attracted to the beautiful diva, and thier secret affair will be one of the recurring storylines.
Also rounding out the cast are Arnold Kreplich, Ivan's old friend and Producer of the play, Carl, the untalented, obnoxious Director, and Shelly, Ivan's efficient assistant.

a lil show called "29th street"

Its about a neighborhood with different families, in different lifes...
Theres a family of 3 prefect blondes~ who everyone loves to envy. Shopping nutters, great to look at and confusing to talk to. Then theres the older couple who is raising their teenage punk-rockin grandson~they hate the music, the clothes, the language and everything about the world. They fight and they have an eye and an ear for everything that goes on in the neighborhood. Then theres the lil chinese man~(Come on, every neighborhoods gotta have a lil chinese man) His name is Tom Cruise... (thats all the story line this guy needs) he balances the neighborhood out. and last but not least..theres the family of "hoods" they blast their rap, hang out and think the world is racist around them.~like i said, Its 4 familes and 1 street. You wouldnt believe, how small the world really is~ it be replacing Friends time-slot on NBC
