If they used the name Henderson enough why use it again. In Beaver’s Tonsils Dr. Kirby drops by to check Beaver’s Tonsils. He mentions how he could drop by cuz he was in the neighborhood seeing Mrs. Henderson. Probably wanted to complain about her housekeeper. So another Henderson sighting.
Quick trivia: Which is not a theater mentioned in Mayfield. a. Globe b. Valencia c. Majestic d. Olympic e. Mayfield Theater f. Madison |

Maybe she's Tom's mother or grandmother, and is married to Mr. Henderson, whom Beaver thinks might be able to do a rain dance, but it turns out his dancing days are over.

I love Doctor Kirby; he's great in the Nintendo 3DS game Kirby Planet Robobot, lol.
But seriously, I don't understand why TV shows like to reuse surnames like that when there are so many to choose from. Henderson was incorporated to death. |

The most overused name in sitcoms from the 50s, 60s and 70s: Martha.
Odd no one ever used the most common last names around: Smith or Jones. |

I don’t think LITB ever used Smith or Jones? Can anyone find a Smith or Jones? Names like Mondello, Rickover, Alt, Bowderhouse, Mish, Ingersol and Ronzoni were just a few uncommon names.

Nah, they never used those names. None of the shows did, except Donna Reed--Jeff's best friend, Smitty.
Ronzoni? I think I recognize the other, but Ronzoni? |

Good ob. Just threw that in to see if you’re all paying attention. Good one. I thought Dunlap was quite uncommon but used twice.

Let's see...there was Canfield, Shuster, Badsen, Hanson, Hensler, Compton ("one of your father's best friends" whom we never saw or heard of again), Cusick, Bannerman,...

Yeah Hensler and Cusick were unusual. How about Mr. Benner who bought their old house? Not Bennet, Banner, Bannon or Bender.
Name the two times we hear the name Barnes. |
