Was Brad's saxophone playing real? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

There's an episode of the show called Slip Sleddin' Away and one of the plots mentions that Brad is thinking of stopping saxophone lessons. Whenever Brad played music, was the saxophone playing done by the actor who played Brad himself, or was it done by another person?

I would say that it was him. One way or another it sounded the way that it was supposed to: bad.

But according to a commenter on reddit though, it's probably not real at all. So it could very well be possibly fake.

So this is very interesting what I found out about last night.

Brad's sax playing on the show is most likely true because Zachery Ty Bryan did play the saxophone reguarly.

So his playing is not fake at all and is indeed real!

Maybe this was real, but a lot of instrument playing by actors, is actually done by professionals offstage (Charlie Sheen "playing" the piano on Two and a Half Men, for example). Most of the time actors aren't musicians or singers.

Another one I thought was real, was Ray Romano playing the piano at the end of the "Mozart" episode, S2 E4. The camera shows him actually playing.

That's interesting information though.

I got the info about all of this from Previously.tv's forums because another user on the site happened to know about it (which was how I found out it was eventually real after all and not fake later on).

This is unfortunate. Was hoping to at least see something, but there isn't much out there except a couple of old articles and some YouTube videos.
