I found out that Suzanne Somers's husband Alan Hamel appeared in Alpha Beta Supermarket commercials as a spokesman in the 80's and I would like to know more about these commercials? Was Alan Hamel one of Alpha Beta's popular celebrities and he served as their longtime spokesman until Alpha Beta was sold in the 90's?

Was Alan Hamel replaced by Stephanie Edwards in the Alpha Beta commercials after the Alpha Beta stores were sold in the 90's? Because I remember reading that Stephanie Edwards became the new spokeswoman for Alpha Beta and was featured in the commercials and continued doing commercials when the Alpha Beta stores in California were rebranded as Lucky
