Default I'll be taking a break

Not sure how long it'll be before I get back to posting regularly.

My mama is in the hospital with a bacterial infection on top of lymphoma, so I need to take some time away from media and focus on God, family, and getting things in order. My dad is disabled so I also care full-time for him; I have a full plate but I'm a firm believer that God doesn't give you anything you can't handle.

Please say a prayer for her.

You guys are the best!

I took some long breaks too while my mom who has dementia was in and out of hospitals and rehab centers while battling infection as well so you have my every sympathy. The stress you feel is overwhelming but God gets you through. So sorry to hear that on top of everything else she is also battling lymphoma. My mother is also now physically disabled as well as a result of her battle with infection and so I can relate to your situation with your father too.

God Bless you for taking care of your parents the way you do. I had no idea you had so much on your plate, being a caregiver is so challenging and I will say a prayer for her of course and you and your father too.

Sending lots of love your way...

You and your mom are in my prayers. Many warm blessings to your entire family. You are not alone when it comes to dealing with sick or disabled parents or loved ones. My mom is also ill and has been for quite a while, it is can be quite distressing. Anyway, you are in my daily thoughts.

Mom not doing good. Cancer spread to her brain. They moved her to hospice on Saturday. We wanted to take her home and do at-home hospice but they said she wasn't a safe transfer, which probably at-home wouldn't have been ideal since my dad's also disable and prone to strokes and seizures...her being there would be too hard on him. I've stayed with her the past two nights. I just hope she's not in pain. She's so young, only 64. If anything this is not in vain; yes, I will miss my mama but it's brought me closer to God and my family which would make her happy.
