Default Wally’s Glamour Girl

Another time when June was a snoop. Going through Wally’s wastebasket and found the discarded letter Wally wrote to Kitty embellishing his life.

The boys should have learned to tear their notes up, but she'd probably piece them back together.

We're before the time of shredders, or I'd suggest that.

Tear them up and flush them or get a lighter and torch them. June would hit the roof if she found a lighter in the boy's room. WARD!!!! WHY DO THE BOYS HAVE A LIGHTER? ARE THEY SMOKING?

Beaver learned how to snoop from June. In Beaver and Violet Beaver goes through Ward’s wastebasket and finds that company magazine.

Yeah, it's normally unbelievably slow.

The old adage applies: if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

June probably trained him. "Now, Beaver, if you hear Eddie and Wally coming up toward your room, hide under the bed. You'll probably hear something interesting,"

I think that’s the only time someone hides and listens to another conversation. Also in that episode Wally overhears Carolyn speaking about Eddie.

I've posted before about this, but one of my favorite lines occurs after his hiding under the bed. During Eddie's tirade he says Wally is a lousy basketball player.

As Beaver and Wally are talking after this, Beaver out of the blue says, "You're a good basketball player."

If Eddie told Beaver he was a lousy basketball player he would be accurate. (Younger Brother)

I think that episode was the only later episode that made Beaver out to be a poor athlete in any sport. (Earlier, he didn't do well at baseball, especially compared to Judy.)

But he sure was bad in the Park League, in that episode. (Did you know Beaumont's dialog in the park was dubbed in by another actor, in that episode? That's documented somewhere--until I read that, I always thought it didn't sound like him.)

Yeah it sounds really fake and hollow. I read it was the last episode of the season and Hugh had left to go back to Minnesota maybe. They couldn’t hear his dialogue outside and someone dubbed his voice.

I'm pretty sure that was in "Beaver's Team," when Ward showed up at the big game between Beaver's team and Richard's.

The scene in the Park League, where Ward and Fred show up to watch Beaver practice, seems like it really has Hugh Beaumont's voice.

I was torn on that one. I was thinking as I was posting that it could be that one. Who was Ward talking to in that one, Wally, or was Fred there on that one, too?

In Beaver’s Team Ward is talking to Wally and it’s dubbed. He also talks to Beaver that could be dubbed too. In Younger Brother Fred and Ward stop to watch Beaver practice but he’s not there as he was officially kicked off. That really is Hugh’s voice.
