They show the dark house with the streetlights on and they show Ward coming home. June says he was late yet Wally is getting home from school in the dark too. I never remember Wally or Ward coming home work/school in the dark except Tenting Tonight.
Aunt Martha sees the item in the Mayfield paper but Ward says she’s calling long distance. (Bellport or Riverside) How does June find Beaver’s jeans rolled up under the sink? She must have been a super snoop. One more thing. If you need to take a bus to Friends Lake (Wally the Lifeguard) did Wally and Beaver take a bus when they went fishing? Did Beaver sit on a bus in wet jeans? Would they let him? Judy looked about 16 in this episode. Beaver did embellish the story by saying he swam out about 200 feet. |

These are close to the last appearances of Jeri Weil. She really shot up--too bad for her!
The jeans probably smelled--June sniffed them out. Yes, this time Martha was "long distance from Bellport." Maybe she subscribes to the Mayfield paper. Did they actually mention that this was Friends Lake? Maybe this was Millers Pond. Did they cut the scene where the kid was trying to get his dad to publish the item? I didn't see it. I thought it was odd when June told Wally she didn't know Beaver was upset. Where were you last night, June, when he was all worried about it? |

Maybe Wally stayed late for one of his team practices? Or maybe Lumpy got his head stuck in a locker and Wally stayed to help him pull it out.

Hey Stevea when the kid wants his father to publish the story in the paper it was Long Distance Call when they called Don Drysdale. This story was put in the paper by Judy, Whitey
and some other kid and Miss Landers. I don’t think they cut out any scene. |

Hmm...strike two...one more and I'm out!
(I think we mentioned in another thread that there must have been two Friends Lakes.) |

Two Friends Lakes that makes sense. In Happy Weekend they go to Shadow Lake on a Friday night and it takes 4 hours but it’s not dark.

Where was that vacation at the end of the 5th season, when Wally didn't want to go because of the girl at the library (Lori Ann??)? Crystal Lake? They supposedly went there every year.

Crystal Lake was mentioned as a summer vacation spot when they thought Wally wanted to join the merchant marines. I believe when Wally was going to forfeit his summer vacation for Lori Ann it was Lake Crescent.
