In 1984 a cartoon special based on the popular Rose Petal Place line of dolls made by Kenner was introduced. Rose Petal Place featured the voice of Marie Osmond as Rose Petal and the cartoon told the story of a young girl who disliked to leave her garden and was afraid that someone might not look after it when her parents were moving to a new place and that's how Rose Petal Place came to be. Marie Osmond also sang a song in the cartoon called Everyone Needs Friends. I first learned about Rose Petal Place when I got a series of picture books based on the doll line and didn't even know that this cartoon special existed

There were two animated film-length specials produced by Ruby-Spears. The second being "Rose Petal Place- Real Friends" which featured characters for the proposed second series of dolls but the toyline was cancelled shortly after this film aired.

Hi, Bestie! Rose Petal Place sounds like a nice cartoon. I didn'tknow Marie Osmond did cartoon voices. What other cartoons was she in?

She also provided voices in Hugo the Hippo and The Velveteen Rabbit. Pretty sure thats it.
