Default How did you start watching FT?

How did you first start watching Family Ties?
I started watching it back in September. My Mom was watching the marathon they had on and I came in to watch. I had never heard of Family Ties before and the first episode I saw was the one about Alex and Ellen. (That's my fav.)

One day I had come home from school sometime after 3:30pm and I was looking at the program guide on channel 13 and saw that Family Ties was on channel 16. And, I knew that Michael J. was in the show back in the 80s and of course I'm a fan of his, so I flipped to that channel and saw the last couple minutes of the show and thought it was really funny, and I ended up watching
the show until it went off Vision TV in May of 2001.

I started watching it when it first came out. I loved Michael J and still do. He's just way to cute not to watch. I love to watch the reruns they never seem to get old. I remember I had to watch FT and my little sister had to watch Growing pains.

I watched it during the original run, and when I found it was on N@N I started watching again. I'm up mostly nights, and it's something to watch at that time. Plus, it brings back memories.

I also saw it during its original run on NBC. But I can't remember what night it was on. Does anyone here remember?

I started watching Family Ties sometime last year during the marathon when Nick @ Nite first introduced it on there. I was hooked after that (After all, who can't think such great actors and a super-conservative kid aren't cool?)

I started watching the show in it's original run. I was really young, but it was pretty much a tradition for my family to get together every Thursday night to watch this show. I hadn't watched the show in many years, when I picked it up once again on TBS about 3 years ago. Now I have virtually every episode on tape, but I still watch an occasional episode on Nick At Nite. Basically wherever Family Ties goes, i'm there!

I first watched it on N@N. I don't watch Family Ties on N@N anymore though cause it airs locally, during the day!

I recall watching Family Ties as early as 1992! This is my TENTH year watching FT!=) I had a tiny celebration yesterday when I realized that fact. My first channel was WFLD in Chicago. ANyone familiar with WFLD FOX's Chicago station? Well, they kicked butt back then. They aired, Too Close For Comfort, Cosby Show, etc. Then, in 1997, UPN 50 aired it. They still do, but since UPN airs it around 10A.M. I watch it on NAN. NAN and WFLD were my favs. If I had to chose which I liked better, it would be NAN. NAN had better ads for FT and the sound quality is very clear.

I started watching Family Ties when a friend told me about Meredith Baxter Birney's new series and she was as cute as she was on Family. I took a gander at the show during the first season when it was focus on her and Michael Gross. Meredith was quite cute, especially in the first season, in her pony tails and jeans. Unfortunately the twins aged her quite a bit. She was in her early 40s when the show ended and looked quite old.

I think I started watching it after I met Courteney Cox. We are from the same home town, and my grandmother is a close friend or her mom. Anyway, I started watching for the episodes with Lauren in them, but then I saw the ones with Ellen. I thought that Tracy looked so cute and was such a great actress, so I began watching for her too. I only watch it when there might be a chance they are on, so I don't actually follow it...?

I started watching Family Ties when it was in its original run on NBC. Probably in the third season.
