I have seen several comments on both Sitcoms and the My Three Sons Fans Facebook page regarding this funny episode and Barbara stepping out of character. I found the following which nicely explains how the episode came about.
The one is the newspaper listing and the other is from a Facebook page which basically mimics the newspaper, but included a backstage picture

If you were to put together a top ten list of M3S episodes, this rarely-seen episode would have to be near the top of it.

I agree, one of my favorites, next to "The Lostling."

Thanks for posting those images.
If CBS or ABC were to do a My Three Sons primetime special, and decided to lean toward airing one ep each from S1 and S12, those highlighted and mentioned here would be sound choices. |

You know, that's an interesting idea. If CBS ever returns to a nostalgia kick (like they did with I Love Lucy and Dick Van Dyke for a few years), they could remaster and air The Enthusiast.

I saw this episode recently on Me-TV, and I thought of Ms. Garland's time on Stump the Stars as soon as I saw her playing charades here. Stump the Stars was a very tough game of charades, as the 2 4-celebrity teams had just about 2 minutes to guess very long phrases that didn't exist as common expressions but often if not usually had puns built into them.
