When Beaver and Larry play hooky from school, Miss Landers says to Beaver “It was like you took a day out of your life and threw it away.” Beaver says if he wastes a day it should be a Saturday. Well in Beaver’s Dance Beaver does just that he plays hooky from the cotillion and rides a horse instead.
Also there were 4 girls sitting waiting to dance. Why wasn’t that fourth girl waiting for Beaver? Later she is already dancing. |

She had to leave the room? We didn't see her ask Mrs. Prescott to be excused maybe?
Re the horse ride, I thought is was convenient that crate just happened to be there for the boys to stand on, to get on Penny's (or just the girl's, at this point) horse. Larry probably "got it" when he got home, but they both probably thought it was worth it to get out of the cotillion. |

In Beaver's First Date (on MeTV today) Beaver's STILL going to Dancin' School? This is season 5 and he was in dancing school in season 3.
How long does to take to learn to dance, anyway? |

Exactly! How long does it take to learn to dance? Although judging by how Beaver dances I don’t think he will ever learn. He was so uncoordinated.

Right, if Billy Baxter could have seen him, even he'd have disapproved.
Beaver was bad enough at dancing he should have stuck to something else, like basketball. No, wait! Not that, either. |

Larry and Beaver doing the ‘choo choo’ was too funny. I don’t think Wally would ever be dancing with Beaver. Besides he should know how to dance from Mrs. Prescott and Thompson. I think the only thing Beaver was good at was being talked into doing things he didn’t want to do.

"What's a matter with your brother, Beaver?"
That choo choo (Larry's line) scene is probably one of the funniest, if not THE funniest, in the whole series. We've commented before that it looked like both boys were really having fun! It'd be interesting to know how many takes there were. |
