Default FOL season 2 premier promo from 1980

I've never seen this!

How funny to see them kind of "Brady Bunch-ish", lol, and check out that room at the end! It's like they're in a Peekskill hotel!

It is definitely a very Brady promo.

I suspect there were more of these; I seem to recall seeing them on YouTube.

NBC clearly spent some money promoting the second season; clearly, this was very different than the first season, where NBC seemingly didn't even hire a photographer until after the first four episodes were shot.

I have the link "hypered" in my text in my post, but I just saw this one so far. I didn't realize there were others? Fun!

This makes me think of that Molly-promoting one we discussed here the other day. At least they didn't do one for the season 2 premiere going, "Join all the fun as Blair, Natalie, Tootie, and Margo try to teach Mrs. Garrett the 'facts of life'!"

By all means, please do!

I just forgot that that ads/photos thread was where video promos were shown as well. That would be a great addition there too. It'll be great having all those in one place!

Heh, true.

It does lead me to believe that at some point, the plan was to include Molly in Season Two. This is what she says she was told by producers.

This also reminds me of of what Jarrett Lennon Kaufman (the original Mark Foster on Step By Step) has stated on this very forum (and also in Christine Lakin's podcast) about how his agent lied to him about him being "let go" from the show, and how traumatic that was, because it was done so poorly. He found out at the network Christmas party he'd been disinvited to (the agent told him the party had been cancelled), when he ran into his new replacement. Ouch!

I know Molly has always felt terrible about getting "let go" from FOL, and I'm just glad she's seemingly more open to questions now.

True, it just makes me wonder when she was told that. Would that have been nearer the end of the first season? "The Facts of Love" was the 4th out of 9 new episodes to be broadcast in spring 1980, yet she's promoted in this one as one of the "main girls" in this episode, of which she is clearly not (who wrote this promo, Warren Littlefield? lol). I don't know if there would have been any reason that early on for producers to tell Molly, "Oh, we're excited to have you back next season!" (or whatever she was apparently told). Or, perhaps this promo was for the summer rerun of "Facts of Love", and this could have been made after the producers said whatever-they-said to her.

Me too---we care about all our girls! (except the "P"s---Princess* and Pippa )

*(I know you appreciate P.A. for your reasons, I'm just speaking for myself, lol)
